After many years of Diakopto – Kalavrita rack railway (ΔΚ) working with steam engines, three dmus were bought made by French Billard in 1958. Each of the three dmus had: one engine car (nuumbers ΑΔΚ01-03), one power generating car ΟΠΕ (numbers ΟΠΕ 3501-3503), and one "push pull" car (numbers ΑΔΡ01-02). The push pull cars were only two because ΔΚ hadn’t bought one for the last train, ΑΒδφπτ 3003… Some years later, passenger car ΔΚ131 was renamed as Β131, rebuilded and worked as the "push pull" car of ΑΒδφπτ 3003. In 1967 three more dmus were baught, made by French DECAUVILLE with nearly the same design as the Billards. The "new" ones were given the numbers ΑΒδφπτ 3004-3006 to the engine and "push pull" cars and ΟΠΕ 3504-3506 to the power generating cars. The biggest differences between Billards and Decauvilles are the following: The Billards had some metals on the doors while the others they don’t have. The second difference is that the Decauvilles above the side windows had smallest windows which were covered later. Now the coverings can be seen. FORTUNATELY all Decauvilles and Billards still remain……. This in the video is ΑΔΚ 3001, the one in the worst condition . But in the others i couldn’t take the video. In this vid the ΟΠΕ power generating car of train ΑΒδφπτ 3001 is not shown because it was not there. In the interrior of the train notice the wrong OSE logo.

In the Beginning Many people think the game of billiards began in the middle ages. Billiards was originally played outdoors on grass. It evolved from a lawn game similar with the croquet played in Northern Europe.
